Job Title: Maintenance Tech

Part-Time/Permanent: 30-35 hours/week (Weekend hours are required)

Pay Range for Position: $14 to $16

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Date: Immediately

Direct Supervisor: Stephen Popovich

Position Duties:

• Perform daily facility cleaning task, checks and inventory.
• Perform daily maintenance of exhibits and the exhibit area, including daily inspection, repair and cleaning.
• Opens and closes exhibit area, fills and cleans the Water and Bubbles exhibits.
• Assists in other areas of Science Center operation, such as preparation and setup for special events, preparation for group visits and rentals.
• Maintenance of grounds – snow/ice removal, trimming, general landscaping.
• Assist in the fabrication and installation of new exhibits as well as set-up/teardown of traveling exhibits.

Position Requirements:

• Must be familiar with use and safety operations of all common hand tools and power tools.
• Must be a creative problem-solver who is motivated to learn new skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to multi-task projects with complex timelines.
• Must be able to perform physical operations, including operating computer equipment, bending, climbing stairs and ladders and operating a motor vehicle. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must have ability to lift reasonable weights.
