(Weekend hours required)

Starting Wage: $42,000

Position Duties:

Primary Role Responsibilities:

  • Manages the general operations of guest services area which include admission and retail functions, procedures, and planning.
  • Supervises the guest services team members, which include scheduling and professional development.
  • Trains team members cash handling procedures, customer forward service, and problem solving resolution as it is functions of the guest services area.
  • Collaborates directly and supervises the Retail Coordinator to support the retail purchases and merchandising.
  • Maintains a high level of customer service at guest services and retail area assisting guests in admission, store purchases, and information.
  • Collaborates directly with the Guest Experience team to support the operations of groups, birthday parties and other functions of Impression 5 guest experience.

Secondary Role Responsibilities:

  • Leads all procedures to maintain our online store.
  • Participates in strategic direction of our retail operations.
  • Maintains a clean, stocked, and secure store, storage area.
  • Processes store merchandise including checking stock in, pricing, storing, and merchandising.
  • Follows all cash handling procedures correctly and accurately including assisting in cash register opening and closing procedures.
  • Leads and support the year-end physical inventory count for the store, coordinating staff and volunteers who are assigned to help.
  • Works with Accounting Coordinator to identify issues at the point of sale system.
  • Responsible for the broken inventory process according to policy.

Position Requirements:

Skill in using cash register, credit card terminal, and computer with Windows-based software (word processing and spreadsheets) is required.

Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in person and over the telephone.

Must be able to understand and follow cash handling procedures accurately with attention to detail.

Must be able to understand and follow merchandise-purchasing guidelines.

Must be able to maintain knowledge of the organization and its functions as it relates to educational program, exhibits, and memberships and correctly disseminate that information to visitors.

Must be able to prioritize multiple, overlapping tasks.

Must be able to work amid large crowds while maintaining a pleasant, customer-focused attitude.

Must be able to work effectively with little to no supervision, pay attention to details, and have a strong work ethic.

Must possess excellent listening and communication skills, and be able to work closely with staff with regard to customer schedules.

Ability to endure physically and mentally demanding environment, including long periods of physical work. Ability to lift 50 pounds at varied frequency

Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
