Exhibits Coordinator - Castle Museum (6/22/25)

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate design, construction, installation, and de-installation of all exhibits, working closely with staff and outside collaborators, following museum guidelines, procedures, and installation requirements.
  • Develop and implement exhibit schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Manage production of interpretive materials such as wall text and labels.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date exhibit budgets and track expenses.
  • Conduct post-exhibit evaluations to continuously improve exhibitions and processes.
  • Research and recommend new technologies and techniques to enhance exhibits.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic and always support our team in a positive way.
  • Other duties as designated by supervisor.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Interior Design, or related field.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously while keeping strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work with historical materials to tell a story.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
  • Willingness to participate in special events and exhibit openings, programs, and receptions related to exhibits.
  • Exhibit installation has physical demands. The Exhibits Coordinator must be capable of installation tasks including but not limited to:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely use all tools (including power tools) as required.
  • Able to bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis.
  • Capability and willingness to perform tasks above ground level on structures
  • like a ladder, scaffolding, or elevated platform.
  • Follow safety procedures to avoid accidents and hazards.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.

Compensation: $50,000+ (depending on experience and skills) + 403(b) plan
