Ask an Expert: MI Humanities Grants Thursday, April 21 10:00 am
Founded in 1974, Michigan Humanities is the state-level arm of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Our mission is to bring people together through stories, histories, cultures and conversations. As part of our mission, the Michigan Humanities awards grants for public humanities and cultural programs; conducts public humanities and cultural projects of statewide importance; initiates collaborations and partnerships to broaden and strengthen the organizational and institutional base for the humanities in Michigan; and provides the humanities with leadership and a public voice in Michigan.
Michigan Humanities offers a number of annual grant opportunities for Michigan museums including our Humanities Grant and Bridging Michigan programs. Join Michigan Humanities Director of Grants, James Nelson, for a discussion on Michigan Humanities grant opportunities, an overview on how to apply, tips for a successful application, and a preview of a new grant opportunity created specifically for Michigan museums.
