Marketing Specialist - Gilmore Car Museum

Overview

Responsible for helping to visually tell the story of our vibrant, evolving organization. This internship offers hands-on experience in capturing and producing high-quality video content that brings our member experiences, car events, and unique atmosphere to life.

The ideal candidate is a motivated storyteller with a strong eye for detail and a passion for creating engaging content across digital platforms as well as within the museum.

May include but not limited to:

Photo and Video Production

Assist in filming and producing video content for use across social media, the website, and internal communications.

Capture dynamic footage of member activities, events, and special moments around the campus.

Support promotional shoots and live event coverage to showcase the campus.

Take high-quality photos of food, beverages, events, and venue spaces for use on social media and marketing materials.

Video Editing

Edit raw footage into polished, on-brand videos optimized for various platforms.

Add music, transitions, captions, and other enhancements to elevate visual storytelling.

Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency with the museum’s tone and messaging.

Social Media Content Creation

Develop short-form, high-impact videos for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Create video promos for upcoming events.

Perform social media marketing research.

Assist on influencer campaign strategy.

Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms.

Contribute to monthly highlight reels and teaser videos to boost engagement.

Collaborative Projects

Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative planning with the marketing team.

Assist in storyboarding, scheduling shoots, and organizing creative assets.

Offer fresh ideas for capturing and communicating the museum’s energy, heritage, and ongoing transformation.

Equipment & Technical Support

Help set up and manage videography equipment (cameras, lighting, audio gear, etc.).

Organize and archive footage in a structured, accessible way.

Provide basic troubleshooting during filming as needed.

Event Coverage

Capture major events.

Capture behind-the-scenes content that highlights museum’s culture, people, and hospitality.

Create signage and content for museum displays, museum marketing, and events.

Help develop recap videos that showcase the success and spirit of each event.

Other Duties as Assigned.

Assist with digital content strategy and execution.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a college or university program (preferably in Marketing, Communications, or related field).

Experience with editing software (Adobe Suite)

Knowledge working with cameras, tripods, microphones, and lighting gear.

Strong attention to detail and creative storytelling ability.

Self-starter with the ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Friendly, collaborative attitude with a passion for visual content and digital media.

Compensation: 40-50K Annually
