The Oakland County Historical Society is seeking a driven and community-focused Executive Director to guide the organization into its next phase of growth.
As a member-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Oakland County Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich history of Oakland County and operating the Oakland History Center for the education and benefit of the community. About the Role
The Executive Director serves as the chief staff leader of the Oakland County Historical Society and works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure operational strength, financial stability, donor engagement, and community visibility.
This position combines external relationship-building with practical, hands-on nonprofit leadership.

Qualifications
Experience within a historical society, museum, cultural institution, or community-based nonprofit is a plus.
