Position Description

The Content & Graphic Design Associate will bring creativity and expertise to produce visually compelling content that supports Ford House’s mission. This role will help tell the Ford House story across digital and print platforms, focusing on engaging the public, promoting events and maintaining brand consistency. The Content and Graphic Design Associate will also assist with advertising efforts, ensuring all materials are on-brand, accurate, and delivered on time.

Responsibilities

Graphic Design

  • Develop creative assets for digital and print media, including promotional materials, brochures, social media graphics, email campaigns, events signage, and more.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure cohesive branding across all visual materials.
  • Assist in the creation of graphics for Ford House’s website and other online platforms.
  • Manage and maintain a library of visual assets, ensuring consistency with Ford House’s brand guidelines.

Creative Content Development

  • Work closely with the Communications & Engagement team to brainstorm and execute creative concepts that support Ford House’s marketing initiatives.
  • Design compelling visual stories that enhance visitor engagement and promote various programs and events.
  • Ensure that all content aligns with Ford House’s voice, messaging, and audience engagement goals.  

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure design and video projects meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept through execution, ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time.
  • Support advertising efforts, by ensuring artwork is accurate and completed on time, and assist with tracking advertising expenses.

Physical & Environmental Demands

  • Ability to sit/stand at a computer workstation for long periods of time.
  • Ability to be outside in variety of weather conditions for events (Summer & Winter temperatures.)
  • Ability to walk distance of 87-acre estate.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in graphic design, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred (students near completion of degree will be considered).
  • 2 + years of experience in graphic design and/or multimedia content creation.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience with photography and photo editing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of current trends in digital content, design, and social media.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional creativity and exceptional eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Passion for story telling through visual mediums.
  • Interest in history, culture, and the arts is a plus.

Work Schedule

  • Work is performed on-site.
  • ยท        The schedule is 15-20 hours per week, with specific days and hours determined in coordination with the Director of Communications & Engagement.
