Nominate a colleague or yourself for a colleague champion award! 

MMA members are invited to nominate colleagues they feel have done something particularly special this year for our Colleague Champion awards. This can be for their efforts on a project or team, or for their service to their museum or community. In the past, recipients were nominated for a multitude of reasons including exhibit design, advocacy work, fundraising efforts, community engagement, collaboration, making exhibits and institutions more accessible, and for being helpful colleagues, mentors, and leaders in the field. The 2026 Colleague Champions will receive a certificate, be acknowledged at the Colleague Celebration, and be listed on the MMA website on the awards page. Award recipients must be MMA Members.

The Colleague Celebration will be held during the annual conference in Oakland County on October 21st, 2026. Award recipients and nominators do not need to be registered for the conference to attend the celebration.
