Michigan Museums Association - Vol: Conference Planning Teams

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for the Michigan Museums Association (MMA). MMA shares expertise and resources to promote standards and practices that make the Michigan museum community thrive. Our volunteers make that possible! All volunteers are expected to be MMA members.

Conference Planning Teams Overview

The 2024 Conference will had three planning teams made up of MMA staff and volunteers that meet/met January through May.

The conference logistics team will form in the summer and will meet monthly the third Wednesday of the month July thought November. Basecamp is used for communications and coordination of the team activities.

On-Site Logistics

The team will support all in-person activities of the conference including serving as registration desk volunteers, session monitors, immersive experience volunteers, greeters, evaluators, and helping with other duties as assigned.
(Meets the third Wednesday of the Month at 11 am, July through November)

Each team works best when it has a combination of local and state-wide members, as well as people from different types and sizes of museums.
