ABC's Workshops

Michigan Museums Association developed this series of workshops for small museums, staff or volunteers new to the museum profession. The format includes lectures, audio visual presentations, and hands-on lessons. The presenters are professionals with small museum experience who volunteer to share their knowledge with their colleagues. The three ABC's Workshops offer information and suggestions for developing professional expertise in ways that are within the means of small museums and volunteer museum professionals.

ABCs of Collections Care
Learn the basics of collections management and care during this focused session. Take home ideas and suggestions for how you can improve your collections care practices simply and inexpensively.

ABCs of Museum Exhibits
Learn the basics of planning, designing, construction, installing, and evaluating exhibits.

ABCs of Education
Learn the basics of developing educational programs and activities for visitors of all ages. Topic include: program development, evaluation, and funding.
