2016 Joint Conference Scholarships

We have 12 more applications than scholarships available.  Thank you for making it possible for more people to attend the conference!

The Michigan Museums Association is pleased to be able to offer a number of scholarships to MMA members to offset the cost of attending this year’s joint conference with the American Association for State and Local History.

Each scholarship will include conference registration (single or full day), attendance at the MMA Awards Lunch on Friday, September 16, and a small stipend to cover other meals, events, or travel.  

Scholarships will be awarded in July based on available funding, with consideration given for each applicant's institutional support and size, geography, professional experience, and field of study.

We invite MMA members and supporters to be part of this opportunity for our members. The following scholarship sponsorship levels are available:

Lake Superior ($500)

Acknowledgement includes:

• Featured status on signage in the MMA Lounge and at the MMA Awards Lunch and Annual Meeting
  
• Featured status on the MMA website through 2016 and in the printed program for the lunch and meeting
  
• A social media shout out
  
• A ticket to the awards lunch provided by the AASLH Local Host Committee.
  

Lake Michigan ($250)

Acknowledgement includes:

• Prominent name placement on signage in the MMA Lounge and at the MMA Awards Lunch and Annual Meeting
  
• Prominent inclusion on the MMA website through 2016 and in the printed program for the lunch and meeting
  
• A social media shout out
  

Lake Huron ($100) 

Acknowledgement includes:

• Name placement on signage in the MMA Lounge and at the MMA Awards Lunch and Annual Meeting
  
• Inclusion on the MMA website through 2016 and in the printed program for the lunch and meeting
  
• A social media shout out.
  

Lake Erie (Up to $100)*

Acknowledgement includes:

• Listing on the MMA website through 2016 and in the printed program for the lunch and meeting.
