This workshop will focus on some of the nuts and bolts of nonprofit administration.  The first half of the workshop will include an overview of the basics of not-for-profit accounting including 501(c)3 requirements and financial statements. The second section will focus on maintaining your tax exempt status with a review of the important tax implications of certain transitions and how to keep your organization tax exempt.

The workshop will be led by Erica Battle of UHY, LLP. Erica is a licensed CPA in the State of Michigan and has extensive experience in not-for-profit auditing, accounting and management.  She has a B.A. in Art History from the University of Michigan and an M.S. in Accounting from Walsh College. 

Cost includes morning refreshments and materials.
