Volunteer Job Overview
MMA coordinates a conference each year to bring together members and the Michigan Museums community to share expertise and engage with each other.
2017 Conference Team Members work on specific parts of the conference in one of several smaller teams. These include Programs (sessions, speakers, conversation stations, and museum cafe), Engagement (evening receptions, tours, pub crawl, hosted coffees), Revenue (registration, sponsors, vendors, advertisers), "Recognition"(scholarships, awards), Conference Central (nametags, swag bags, activities, participant list, desk, and volunteers), and Advocacy (legislative engagement events and activities). Each team is led by an MMA Member with Project Management by MMA E.D. Lisa Craig Brisson.
The Advocacy Team will coodinate and execute legislative engagement events and activities including a "Meet and Greet" event and DIY office visits. Team leadership is TBD.
